The Top Future Professionals 2016 is an English proficiency program for employ ability training, with a strong focus on career planning and leadership training.
This will serve as a bridge program for youth achievers (recent college graduates or graduating college students) who need to sharpen their English communication skills but basically have the other three skills necessary for success in the 21st century: critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.

This two-week training program will focus on improving the selected participants’ communication skills necessary for employment, such as resumé development, interview skills mastery, public speaking, conversational and business-context communication using project based-learning pedagogy that promotes confidence, flexibility, agility, adaptability, and teamwork.

Aside from improving their English communication skills, this program will guide them to choose a career path that is most suitable to their passions and core strengths, and prepare them for future leadership opportunities.
Completion of this training will certainly increase their chances of employ ability into meaningful job positions in civic organizations, nonprofits, outreach organizations and societies, as well as business and government sectors, where they will have positive impact.

In order to promote the culture of volunteerism and social responsibility, participants who complete the training will be required to hold four (4) Saturdays of community outreach to share what they have learned. The target group of this outreach is out-of-school-youth (OSY) selected by the Department of Education – Bureau of Alternative Learning System. This community outreach will prepare them not only for employment, but for real-world scenarios and will help strengthen their experience in community development.

The Top Future Professionals 2016 aims:

  • To facilitate English competency and proficiency in effective communication skills for beneficiaries, i.e. select youth achievers;
  • To improve chances of these selected beneficiaries (youth achievers) in attaining gainful employment, impactful jobs, and meaningful positions in the society;
