What is it all about?

The Junior Marketing Program is a series of self-paced lectures online, designed to equip students with the necessary skills that international academic partners and industry leaders expect from marketing professionals. The program can help students develop skills that they can use, not only in their school work but also in the corporate world when they graduate.

At the end of the program, graduates should be able to (1) obtain, analyze and interpret marketing data and use it to make market predictions or assumptions; (2) demonstrate an understanding of what “market” is and what to do with it; (3) develop and deliver stakeholders’ communication; (4) develop and manage a product or service; (5) create and administer a pricing strategy; (6) deal with customers and create lasting relationships with them; (7) manage a project; (8) develop a brand; (9) monitor and evaluate a marketing campaign; (10) handle a team; and (11) officiate corporate responsibility programs.

The program is available for FREE to all members of the Junior Achievement (JA) Marketing Society. It covers six subject areas: Marketing Management; Sales and Sales Management; Services Marketing; Advertising: Integrated Marketing Communication; Brand Management; and E-Marketing. Special topics on Marketing will also be conducted face-to-face by industry practitioners.

Unlike traditional curriculum, the Junior Marketing Program takes into consideration your schedule. Students are given the leeway to pace their learning depending on their free time. What’s more, they can take classes without leaving their homes. Everything is online.

Students will be assessed through an online quiz and caselets that they will need to evaluate. They will also have the opportunity to work as interns at the JAMS online store, where they can take on the roles of brand manager, category manager or brand assistant.
